Tom Watson aced the par-three sixth with a four-iron on Friday at the 140th British Open Championship.
This was the second hole-in-one in as many days at Royal St. George's. Dustin Johnson aced the 16th on Thursday.
Watson's hole-in-one was the fifth at Royal St. George's since 1981, but the first on a hole other than the 16th.
The other three aces, which were posted by Gordon J. Brand, Roger Chapman and Sam Torrance, were all carded in 1981.
Watson's hole-in-one moved the 59-year-old off the cut line. He also birdied the par-five seventh to climb into a share of 17th at one-under par.
Royal Troon also has five aces since 1981. The two courses have the most aces of any Open Championship venue.
The last time there were multiple aces in a single championship was in 2006 at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
