The Atlanta Braves Organization reached a historic milestone yesterday with the 10,000th win in franchise history. This membership allows them to be included in a presitious club whose other members include the San Fransico Giants and the Chicago Cubs. Tonight the Braves will look to continue the winning tradition as opening pitch is scheduled for 7:10EST against the Washington Nationals in Game 2 of this NL East Series. Hanson will get duty for Atlanta and is 10-4 2.44 ERA overall. Having not lost since late May, Hanson has allowed one earned run or fewer in four of his last five outings. Hanson is 5-2 2.23 ERA at Turner Field with a lifetime ERA of 2.94 against Washington overall. He is 0-1 however in 2 starts against Washington this season. Lanaan gets the call for Washington and is 5-6 3.64 ERA overall. Lanaan will be making his first start since being hit by a line drive in the face before the MLB All Star Break. He is 3-0 2.82 ERA in his last four outings against Atlanta and 6-4 3.25 ERA 1.56 WHIP career overall versus the Braves. Martin Prado who played his first game last night back from injury and Dan Uggla have .335 or better lifetime averages in this match up. Washington was severely hampered by five errors last night and will look to play much better with the glove today while also trying to find a way to rattle the All Star caliber Hanson. This task may be too great to overcome with Hanson's high strikeout talley and counting. Werth, Zimmerman, and Morse will have to deliver if Washington hopes to even the series.
