Just remember, the CIA literally put Pinochet in charge over there (getting rid of a democratically elected president) , many chileans had to get out asap........and a few even ended up in CR

My personal choice would be Australia (although right now they are coming up with some ridiculously stupid internet 'filter' ............it just shows how idiotic ALL governments are trying to 'save' their citizens)

Where you live is contingent on your income source. Most places can be great for the super rich. The average well to do adult with an income source from elsewhere can live in exotic places like Thailand, Bora Bora, Southern Italy, etc. For me, from actual experience, I would choose Amsterdam as my first choice to live, then Scandinavia - again if money were not an issue. Places like Oslo and Stockholm while great venues are ultra expensive to live in.

Like Nes I have often thought of Chilie (especially Valparaiso - Santiago the capitol and most modern city is a smog filled city especially in winter because of it's geography). Valparaiso is known as "Chile's Cultural Capital" and although I have never been there I have done some reading about the city and the surrounding area (120KMs north of Santiago) and am intrigued by the place.

wil.
