they hit a grand slam with pawn stars and ice road truckers.

american restoration is alright, not really into that stuff though.

american pickers is interesting as well.

havent remembered a network with so many great recently constructed shows. all of these shows outside of ice road truckers are relatively new.

All of the shows except american restoration have been on for 3 years or more now and I watch the majority of these shows also

I would say at least 75% of my TV watching is History Channel, by far the best selection of shows, History channel and HBO are my main channels for shows.

that 10 part WW2 series in high def was pretty f'in awesome !..the actual 'historical' programs pretty much only come on History International now.

They talk about WW2 and Hitler a real lot, I will tell you that much.

But yea, pawn stars and ice road truckers are pretty good.

The early days of the History Channel were far better IMHO... if I tune into something called the "History Channel" I want to see something history related. Sadly, not enough Americans are interested in history so they have to, of course, dumb it down and bring on Ice Road Truckers, that fkng Tattoo show, Pawn Shop, etc. Don't get me wrong I like IRT and there was no bigger fan of Deadliest Catch but I want them on TBS or TNN or the Macho Neanderthal Channel where they belong, not on History. In the 80's they used to use docs from way back but they were excellent and I 'd rathher see that stuff than the filler stuff they use to boost ratings. Let History be about history , Science about science, cooking about cooking etc.... that's all I'm saying.
