I could give a FF about womens soccer but I think the US Gals got forked... or chopsticked I guess. How much friggin extra time were they gooing to give Jpan? Now I know it is in the eyes of the officials to determine what is right for extra time but come on now, it seemed like forever and it felt like Japan was pressing and USA was merely playing defense. That formula will benefit the offensive every time. I did not see free kick session but trust that Japan won that part fair and square but I have sneaky feelingst thatthey got to theat point in the first place

Adding: In a way I like that US girls did not succeed becasue I hated that Brandy Chastein moment 1- years ago. FWIW, I like my girls to act like girls and not male athletes... just sayn. Not a misogynist, I hope, but leave the guy stuff to the guys.

what are you talking about, overtime is 2 15 min periods in soccer with no sudden death, japan scored with mins left in the 2nd overtime period. usa only has themselves to blame for lack of execution on the offensive end and inability to clear the ball numerous times on defensive end

woops, my bad - thought it was like World Cup where extra time is added based on refs assessment of dead time during initial 90 minutes. Thanks for info. AAgree with US deflated execution in final minutes

the womens teams experienced what Brasil went thru in the qtr finals (Brasil Vs USA)....unfortunately this was the final...ouch

I originally fucked this up too when watching with friends. There is a difference between added time and extra time.
