Welcome to the 2011 Saratoga Graded Stakes Challenge sponsored by BetOnline.com, who will be putting up a $500 Bonus Play to be deposited in the account of the top money winner throughout the duration of the meet.

Contest is open to all Rx posters who also have a BetOnline account. Please fill out the Registration Form in Post #2 below. Note the disclaimer at the bottom of this post for eligibility requirements on how to receive the full prize amount. This handicapping challenge will run from Fri, July 22 thru Mon, Sept 5.
There are 40 Throughbred Racing days scheduled with Tuesdays being dark (no racing).
All contestants will receive a starting balance of $2400.
The format this year will only involve the Feature Race(s) of the Day, most likely a Graded Stakes. There are a total of 52 Graded Stakes Races during the course of the Saratoga Meet this year. Contestants will make selections on any 30 of those races.
If at any point a contestant will fall short of the minimum 30 race selections, an automatic $80 will be deducted from his balance for every day he misses.

You will be allowed ONLY ONE Stakes Race per day to bet on so chose your races wisely. All wagers will be $20 bets. Your daily selections will consist of (1) Win bet and (1) Exacta Part-Wheel bet, either a Front Wheel (1 x 3) or Back Wheel (3 x 1) for a total of $80 in wagers. All winning bets will earn track payoffs and be added to your running balance. Losses will be deducted.
A running thread with a Picks Entry Form & a running spreadsheet listing all selections will be available in the Offshore & Horse Forums to make selections with links to Rules, SignUp Sheet, Entries, Scratches, Results and Toteboard.
Balances will be updated daily, after all the day's results are in, hopefully before Midnight EDT of the following day of racing. You are also encouraged to keep your own wagers graded as a back-up.
Deadline:
5 Minutes Prior to the Official "Off" time listed on the Equibase.com results page.
Scratches:
For purposes of this contest, any wagers made on a horse that is scratched will be treated as a loss.
Declaring the Winner:
The contestant with the largest bankroll at the end of the meet will be declared the winner.
Tiebreaker:
If it is necessary, a tiebreaker will be to guess how much the $2 trifecta will pay on the last race of the final day of the meet, Sept 5th (Labor Day). The trifecta is the first 3 horses in order to finish the race. The closest to the payoff wins the tiebreaker.
All tiebreaker guesses must be in by 3:15 PM EDT on Monday, Sept 5th.

(Full prizes are reserved for active BetOnline customers. Active is defined as having made at least $100 in real money wagers for the period of July 22nd thru August 22nd inclusive (1st 4½ weeks of contest). Real money refers to deposited money. BetOnline management will be the sole determiner of whether the client’s action derives from “real” money or “contest” money. Inactive accounts are eligible for 50% of prize value. Prizes are void if unclaimed after 7 days).
