Good afternoon RX Land. Tonight's game in Colorado will feature Atlanta with a 57-39 overall record winning 2 7-3 Last 10 versus a Colorado 45-51 overall record losing 3 4-6 Last 10. Jimenez will start for Colorado and is 5-8 4.08 ERA and is looking to secure his first consecutive 3 win streak of the season. Jimenez has improved recently recovering from an injury going 4-1 3.05 ERA in his last 6 outings and has 99 strikeouts to date. He is 2-4 3.95 ERA lifetime against Atlanta. Beachy will start for Atlanta and is 3-1 3.71 ERA and has chalked up 78 strikeouts this season. Beachy has not allowed more than 3 runs in each of his last 9 outings and will bring a 2-0 1.80 ERA road record into tonight's game. Beacy however has never faced Colorado. Atlanta's Freddie Freeman now ranks 2nd in the majors for rookie RBI's with 50 and 3rd in homeruns. His bat contiues to show up at the right time for Atlanta. The Rockies have now lost 9 out 13 and an Atlanta win tonight would take this season total to 6-0 overall against Colorado. Jimenez should be extra sharp tonight trying for his third straight win, ending the Rockies lsoing streak and at the same time hoping to extinguish trade rumors surrounding him. Beachy will be sharp as well looking to keep his perfect road record in tact. The tricky shadows resulting from the start time came into play last night yielding errors and could come into play again tonight. Jason Heyward and Carlos Gonzales were listed day to day and Chipper Jones is still sidelined with injury. If both pitchers can find the rhythm early and the defense's can overcome the tricky shadows, we could see fewer runs than most expect. Source ESPN MLB Preview

Atlanta +117 for me...Beachy is a solid pitcher, and Ubaldo has been irratic this year...not to mention Martin Prado is back, and one of the best bullpens in the majors...bol on what ever you do

Beachy usually doesn't go past 6 innings, but you have a really good Atlanta bullpen to fall back on...

Those tricky shadows concern me more than anything. Helton let two men come home resulting in gimme runs last night from the sun in his eyes. Colorado according to the announcers last night and thought their overall record does not show it has the best percentage of double plays converted in the majors. I think we might see some defense tonight with Jimenez not giving up any deep. He seems to be back on track from my readings, but will still have to face an extremely hot Freeman. Atlanta +1 -125 is the lean and the under for me.
