Via Image CPR:
Hey Andrew, what were you thinking?
NBC4 in Los Angeles caught Lakers star Andrew Bynum parking his BMW in two handicapped parking spots.
An LADOT parking official took the photos at the Bristol Farms Market in Playa del Rey. Check them out.
“It’s a terrible image and perception when something like this happens,” Department of Motor Vehicles Deputy Chief Vito Scattaglia told NBC4. “That does infuriate me, because there are those people that truly need that space.”
NBC4 tried to talk to the 23-year-old, uninjured Bynum about parking in the handicapped spaces. He slammed his car door and drove off without comment. Now that’s arrogant!
Let’s cut to the chase. Bynum is a 7-foot tall athlete who is obviously in great shape and who makes $14 million a year.
He’s had knee injuries in the past, but the guy isn’t hurt and he’s not in a wheelchair or on crutches.
He needs to be parking in the regular parking spots just like the rest of us. A celebrity athlete parking in not one, but two handicapped spaces is a stupid thing to do.
Give me a break!
