Is one of the best one/two top of the order guys I've seen in a decade.

I'm a die hard Yankee fan, but I got no problem saying this.

One guy is a hit machine, the other guy is a speed merchant (well, they both are speed merchants) Ellsbury will wind up with 30 homers, both guys are well above the league average in on base percentage, Pedroia fields his position like Sandberg, and Joe Morgan did.............

I play fantasy baseball on a daily basis, 2B and one OF is a no brainer, I don't care who's the opposing pitcher, I just plug those two guys in and it's instant points.

This Yankee fan, even though the Red Sox are my enemy, really appreciate how these two guys play and go about their business.

eh i am gonna disagree, pedroia is hott lately but most of the year he was batting around .250

i dont think that is the best 1/2 combo bill, i will say when gardner leads off, he and granderson have to be the top 1/2 combo in baseball

gardner leads league in steals, hitting .290 with almost a .400 OBP
grandy top 5 in league in homers, over 20 steals, hitting .280 with a high OBP

I just got done watching the Red Sox game, those two guys are lethal on top, same as out two guys, but Pedroia goes to his left like no other in the field.

i am a die hard sox fan, and i know for a fact jacoby will not hit 30 homeruns this year. No chance.

Yeah Ellsbury has one less steal than gardner...because he has been raking the ball out of the ballpark. Gardner just caught up with him BTW.
Ellsbury is dominating Gardner in every statistical category, so please get away with that junk.
Your the only GM on this board that would take them over Ellsbury/Pedy.

he will hit wayyy more than gardner i am not debating that

but i would take gardner granderson over ellsbury/pedrioa

go look at pedrioa stats at fenway vs his stats on the road

I take back my 30 homer prediction for Ellsbury, I thought the two he hit today were #16 and 17.

Off by two, he'll hit 25.

Only a Yankee fan would compare Gardner to a former MVP... Gardner is a nice player but come on........Pedrioa is coming off a serious foot injury last year and will be wearing the "C" on his jersey for the next 10 years.. Last i checked Micheal Bourne has similar numbers to Gardner and nobody is rubbing his balls.
Gardner can't hold Pedria's jock strap!!!

oooooooooooooo come on with the MVP talk...did you see his numbers that year? 17 homers, 80 rbi, hit .326 cano last year 29 homers 110 rbi hit .319 and didnt win the MVP, so you cant tell me anything about mvp talk...go ahead compare the yanks vs sox lineup that will be an interesting debate since we are at it... go with position for position

ellsbury/pedrioa or cano/granderson?

listen im not trying to argue, i think agonz, youk, ellsbury are all great hitters, i think ortiz can still hit a fast ball, i think pedrioa is a good hitter at fenway and opposite field clutch hitter, and i think crawford was an awful signing

but i think the sox are a very good team all im saying is i think gardner grandy can compete with ells/pedrioa

I agree....way too much money to Crawford for a hitter you had no place for.

oh please dude, they dont have that many more runs, you can not compare those stats, do not go by runs scored to determine whos lineup is better that is just silly talk

how many blowouts have the sox and yankees been in this year where they tack on runs? also the yankees pitching is much better than the sox pitching so sox are in higher scoring games

lets compare

martin > salty do not go by average, martin is a much better hitter than salty, i know hes hott lately and martin cooled off ..this still goes to martin
arod > youk numbers prove that and arod has played in less games
Jeter > scutaro look at the numbers both soft hitting but jeter is having the better year not by much though
cano > pedrioa again look at the numbers, not by much but id much rather have cano
Agonz > tex homerun wise tex, but average wise, rbi, double agonz is a beast love him as a player

Swish > drew by a lot
Grandy > ellsbury 26 homers, 80 runs, 70 rbi, 20 steals ...ellsbury good but he has what 20 more hits, grandy has better OPS
gardner > crawford crawford 6homers 33 rbi hitting .247 with 10 steals...gardner 30 steals .400 obp hitting .290 with more RBI, i know crawford missed time, and i know he is the better hitter but right now gardner is out performing him

so a lot of those are close but yanks look to be better all around than the sox lineup and you cant argue i just posted the stats
