Nationals were such huge suckers to dump 10.5 million a year on Werth (and he'll only get paid more as the year passes?!) . Especially when you pick up two no.1 picks back to back, a future ace and a hopeful future power hitter. A lot of people say Phillies aren't producing runs like they have with Werth not in that line up, but it sure doesn't look like it's affecting them. When you have Doc Halladay, Cliff Lee, Hamel (pitching like an ace now), and Worely who a lot of people seem to undervalue. You have to be a sucker to pay a guy 10.5 million for a guy who has NEVER hit over .300avg and brought in more than 100rbis (99 being his career best in 09). He's also never reach those high numbers with the kind of line up he's hitting in, he'll be lucky if he can reach his career 265avg by end of the season....maybe the Nationals can sucker the Cubs to take Werth. Werth will fit right in with rest of those over payed, and over valued players. (Carlos Pena)
