Garcia/Lee/Lester all over -200
Mclennan and Hudson -190!?

I haven't seen something like this before in baseball * this is my first year
wagering on this sport in particular * but this is alot of juice. Could this
be the trend until the end of the year?:>(

I guess the books were not scaring ppl away with -160 to -175 they are
jacking it up now to make you pay dearly when you take a huge fav

GYNO is right - pretty soon teams that are out will start calling up guys from the minors. You have to be careful with the Chalky lines b/c sometimes the guys from the minors have an impact it's a good time of year to catch some nice dogs. This where handicapping line movement instead of stats (era, whip BA Umps) can really pay off.

I agree... This happens every year...and every year in July and aug, and you know what.... Every year the big favs cover most of the time....

Lots of people bet the underdog, hoping to get lucky...it doesn't happen though....

Bet the big favs... Just for less money.

Very bad strategy. Betting huge favorites over and over again is a great way to go tilt soon. If it has worked for you you are the exception...not the rule.

Each day look at all the favorites you like. Whittle that list down to one, and you might find a solid bet with the run line. After all, the better teams, with a good pitcher on the mound, do win about 60-70% of the time.

I think Kapper took it that you bet those teams ML instead of RL- obviously if you continuously bet -280s and -300s even if you win 3 and lose 1 you're still getting fucked up but ex. Boston tonight vs KC if you really think Boston is gonna win there's no reason to take them ML they will either win by 2+ or simply lose. That's how I look at it at least.

I'm kind of doing that too but I can't see these lines dropping enough to make it anyway reasonable to bet ML.. Like -140 to -180 i'll sometimes
do it its not the end of the world.. but -200 is just ridiculous

Even though they haven't been scoring much, the stros are horrible and the Cards are salvating to take adv of this homestance vs the shitty stros, especially in a really tight division. They can't fuck around here. My yanks scare me a bit cause not sure which Garcia gonna show up. I love Boston RL though. The underdog I like u ask?? the Pirates! coming off a big win and they are pumped to play this braves team. They want to prove themselves in this spot.

Hahah I got the pirates for 1.5 units I kinda beleive as well. As far as Garcia goes I had him at +133 vs TB and Price last week, he's been consistent enough this year to buy me in!
