Will the Braves catch the Phillies this year?

I remember last year when the Braves had a 7 game lead in August...:howdy:

But will win the WC going away.

Braves are too station to station on offense. No team speed, too many streak hitters.

Great pitching staff, better then Philly top to bottom.

Not really excited about Beltran although he would improve us a little, but dont want to give up a great arm in the system to get him.

Better pitching staff....please

Stats don't tell the whole story and yes, the Braves have blown more save opportinities than the Phils...

Yes the Braves have the better staff top to bottom, especially with Oswalt not coming back.
But Philly is the better team over a 162 game season.
The Braves are too hot and cold.
We cant keep up with Philly over 162 that way.

But its all going to depend on how we are playing in October.
If we are on a hot streak we can win it all.
If we are on a cold streak it could mean elimination in the 1st round.

Braves have been lack luster since All Star Break. If Uggla had not hit the HR in the ninth at Cincy, Braves may have got swept for the first time this year. Need to bear down and take the remaining games with Pitsburgh if at all humanely possible to get back on track. This is a big series with Pittsburgh who are turning heads as of late.

Oswalt is probably my least favorite Phillie... I would like nothing more than for him to prove me wrong but IMO he is washed up and will NEVER dominate games the way he did in years past. Furthermore it just seems that the intensity and competetitivenes is practically non-existent with this guy. Again, I'd love for him to prove me wrong but I seriously doubt it's gonna happen. Because of this I think the Phillies will be making a fatal mistake if they trade Worley. I will be extremely pissed off if Ruben trades Worley ##)
