hope that umpire breaks his leg on his way to his car, and gets fired on top of it.

This should go down as one of the more memorable games in baseball history. Could be above Haddix pitching 12 perfect innings

Ump needs to get a serious punishment for missing the call, there should be serious consequences for his actions, just too blatant..............I guess we ll be seeing replay sooner than later, I cant imagine watching that whole game and seeing it end like that, unreal!!

Lugo thought it was a good call #%().....

Funny thing is nothing will happen to this ump and after today nobody will be talking about it...it might be different if it was Yanks-Sox

Has to go down as the worst call I've ever seen.

Very bad call. Is it just me, or is the umpiring getting a whole lot worse this year?

You have umpires like Angel Hernandez, Laz Diez, CB Buckner, Greg Gibson and Joe West. These guy are just horrible. They have no business being in MLB.

worst call ever

guy should be fired on the spot, you can't be that bad and keep your job (unless you're a politician)

I had Karstans +170ish too. He sucked, but I didn't need to learn I lost on a call like that

the people in the center field bleachers were laughing at that dude

The catcher seemed to tag him twice to some extent. How does the ump not get it right. Maybe he was light headed from the stress of the long game and just wanted to go home. Pittsburgh got rooked.

Is it possible that when the catcher swept his glove upward it went between the runers body and his arms. Even though the runner and the cathcer made contact with their bodies on the play, the actual tagging with the ball and glove may have missed. The replay on the MLB show still is in real time and I can't decide.

GTC I benefited from thet horrendous call but your post was ridiculous, and I have the feeling you knew it was loopy before you submitted it.

I was sweating for a reason no one has brought up yet. I had OVER 6.5 and was afraid the game was going to be suspended!

Some of you may not know that in a suspended tie game that has gone at least 9 Innings most Books grade the Total right where it sits. So the game would have been graded a '6' Total as Final, even if it was continued today. I was getting nervous they were going to call it. Would be an awful beat, and not the first time either!
