Iphone or Droid?

I am currently due for an upgrade through Verizon. I have a blackberry tour right now and I feel like i am not getting as much bang for my buck as i would with iphone or droid.

i've been told to go with iphone 4. only problem is that it is still on the 3g network for verizon. iphone 5 comes out in sept from what i heard and not sure if it will be 4g or not.

my other option is a phone with the android operating system that is 4g (htc thunderbolt, droid incredible, etc.)

any opinions from you phone gurus?

i use heavily for email and web use.

Regardless of your choice, youll be happy with either of the choices. Both are major upgrades from blackberry....

I have an iphone and loveit. Fiance has a droid and loves it.

However, I have 3 friends that have owned both, and 2 of the 3 say they preferred the iphone, and the other is indifferent...

I will say though... the Droid has much higher failure rates and seems to go crazy. My iphone which I've had for years now has never had any issue... But with the Iphone there is no insurance.... and Droid does... that could be a decieding factor too...

No real wrong choice.

i had both and the droid does everything the Iphone can do plus more and totally customizable

I would say a lot depends on much you like to customize your gadgets. Apple keeps a very tight lid on all things related to their products. Android is open-source.

i hate the size of the droid too big..... also the failure rate is too high, not to mention it's not as easy to use as the iphone. Anyone can instantly pick up the iphone and know how to use it, the droid is easy once you understand it...

I wouldn't say either has a strong edge over the other... my biggest reasoning is I love the easy of use, and the ipod attached. I know you can put music on Droid, but iphone easier to use that way.

I have Droid Incredible and my wife has IPhone4. I dnt think you can go wrong with Droid or Iphone. Only knock I have on my Droid incredible is I can't get TV, but I've heard the thunderbolt can. I'm also with Verizon and they do offer insurance for the Iphone4

Looked into it, its $170 deductible... So insurance could still play a factor

i work for verizon. droid...superior product. for complete ins coverage of the iphone is 10.99 a month plus tax and iits a $200 detuctable. next, if u do get an iphone (dont) the 5 WILL be out 4th quarter of tthiss year. got te news from corrporate 2 days ago. iif u want 4g droid, thunderbolt is best but batt. lifee is poopoo. lg revolution is my next favorite. if 3g is good enough get the incredible 2.

agree, all true facts.......get a droid, it is amazing i had an iphone for 4 months switched to droid and i do not want to put this thing down....the screen size is not too big, some droids are big, some droids are not as big

droid = operating system that is used by many types of phones.

It ain't fair to compare the two.

I had an EVO and now I have the Iphone for about 2 months - there is no doubt that the EVO is better - looking to sell my IPHONE and get a Samsung Galaxy which is supposed to be the best phone right now

I just got in the door from a 7 hour drive back from VT. My daughter starts there in a month and she had a 3 day orientation. Beautiful campus!

Congrats on your daughters enrollment. It's a great school. They definitely care about education. I am not far from there. less than a couple hours
