riday afternoon’s explosive signing is already creating a ripple effect around the country.

The Philadelphia Eagles—who started the week at 12/1 to win the Super Bowl—are now listed at 9/1 over at Sportsbook.com after signing former Oakland cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

The defending champion Green Bay Packers (6/1) are still the favorite to win the NFC, while the New England Patriots (6/1) are the only team in the AFC listed above the Eagles.

After landing Asomugha, defensive end Jason Babin, cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and backup quarterback Vince Young, should the Eagles be favored over the Packers to win the Super Bowl, or do you agree with where the odds currently sit?

I don't think the Eagles will stay healthy all year. They look great on paper and will do well but will not win the NFC.

Mike Vick will never win a Super Bowl.

NEVER.

When will you guys learn? Your probably the same dude who said Manning will never win 1 cause he isn't clutch, Dirk is too soft, Kobe isn't good enough without Shaq, Packers are screwed for letting Favre go.

Vick is an elite athlete playing on a good team with a coach/ownership that always seems to compete, so yeah I'd say his chances to win are pretty good.

everyone was drooling over eagles when they were running up score like madden video game... im curious to see how vick controls the offense this year.. with two run n pass quarterbacks, will the offense have tons of new plays designed specifically for this? I hope so, as we all cant lie, we love a running quarterback and college style plays.

They made some good moves on D. With out a doubt horrible defense was their problem in 2010. I don't think they become like the Steelers' D overnight, but if they can get to around 20 pts/game on d with the offense they have, could be the favorite. We'll see. I still like New Orleans, though.

I agree with everyone that we look great on paper but our O-Line is still only above average and our LB corp still has some question marks. Chaney is supposed to plus at MLB as he's a bit undersized but above-average in coverage. Another year under our S's belts can only help. Our offense is obviously not a problem.

Never been a huge Vince Young fan as a passer. But the guy does win. As an Eagles fan I love him being signed as a backup. It got kind of lost in the shuffle of bigger moves, but I think it was a great pickup as insurance for Vick.

And the Birds pull ink Cullen Jenkins. Eagles are tossing around money and obviously want to win NOW. I'm excited.

Vick's a choke artist. Won't happen. McNabb would have been better.

Next to my Vikes for some reason I've always liked the Eagles. Eagles/Pats SB would be just fine. ANYONE but the Jets & GB!!
