If I had to guess, they haven't seen the guy in a while and there is little to no information on maya except the fact that he got shelled on his last minor league start. Either way, this is an embarrassing loss for the Mets and the last time i screw around with fill-in pitchers. Seems like last-hour pitcher changes really screws up the preparation of the hitters for the game.
