Had to have my windshield replaced today and my insurance paid for it and it didn't cost me anything. So long story short the kid installs the windshield and is very courteous and really did an awesome job. I thank him and gave him $20 and said to have lunch and a beer on me. My GF says I always seem to over tip or tip for services that I shouldn't. When someone does an exceptional job for me I like to toss them a few bucks extra. Thoughts??

I wouldn't of tip him because that is his job to do a good job if he wants to stay in business.

Don't agree at all. If the guy got minimum wage and depended on tips then different story. He gets paid to put your windshield in.

Do you tip the Burger King drive in guy or the 7-11 cashier for ringing you up properly?

Harrington, I would have done the same thing. These guys really do appreciate the tip. I do the same at car dealership service areas, tire places, etc. I will admit the once instance where it bugs me is the coffee shop; for some reason, I just can't seem to understand the tipping there.
