Suppose to remove heavy metals, calcium deposits, plaque in arteries, etc.

All I read in the wiki page is that it was used to remove toxic metals like mercury and lead. I'm guessing the quacks are selling this to suckers and telling them it'll remove cholesterol.

chealation removes metals certain chemicals link to metal ions like attach to Cu+2 ions or Iron Fe+2 ions..used in chemical industry and biologically its part of how your body works and how those trace metals move around....Calcium yes, plaque in arteries no..if your dying of silver poison or Arsenic or chromium its the way to save your life however..
