I almost asked this on his last at bat, when he had a 3-0 count, swung up ball four and popped up (I'd had him taking on 3-0, 3-1, and maybe 3-2!), and now popping up with the tying run on third: why in the world is Jason Varitek still in the major leagues?

yeah gardner is not a HR hitter, nunez has as much pop as most of the guys in this yankees lineup you just dont know about him because he is a rookie
