At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Milwaukee Brewers (2.1, +110) and St. Louis Cardinals (1.88, -114)

Brewers are 41-20 record versus right-handed starters, while the Cardinals are 9-19 in the last 28 meetings in St. Louis.

Milwaukee extended its division lead against St. Louis last week by taking two of three games at Miller Park in a series that was filled with explosive moments. “We’re competing to win the division and get to the postseason, and none of that other stuff matters,” said Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun. “It doesn’t factore into our thought process or preparation.” The Brewers have won 11 of 12 games, but now head out on the road where they’ve posted a dismal 23-35 record. Milwaukee has posted a solid 31-18 mark against divisional opponents.

Brewers starting pitcher Shaun Marcum is 10-3 with a 3.58 ERA in 23 starts this season and is looking to bounce back from a poor performance against the Cardinals in his last outing. The right-hander allowed six runs and seven hits over six frames in a no-decision effort that resulted in a 8-7 loss. Marcum will be making his 12th start on the road, posting a 5-2 record and 2.40 ERA, as opponents are hitting just .203 against him. In two lifetime outings versus the Cardinals, the former Blue Jays hurler is 1-0 with a 6.23 ERA.
