I believe the Big 10 Conference will expand to 16 teams soon. If you were Delany who would you be going after? Notre Dame and Texas are probably out, but what about Pittsburg of the Big East? I would love to see the Big Ten add Kansas, Missouri, Pittsburg, and Louisville to get them up to the sixteen.

Pittsburgh would mean the revival of the once really good PSU-Pitt rivalry. Missouri thought they were getting in last year, but the Big 10 never really wanted them. Maybe that changes if they go to 14/16.

I wonder if the Big Ten could steal Kentucky from the SEC (I doubt it, but it would make for some great basketball games).

And let me tell you; that Mobile Home research coursework made up for Bubba Smith at Michigan State is still there; ever wonder how some of those atheletes can actually pass any courses at a real university if you listen to them try to talk at an interview,.>>"You know, you know..."

RU & UConn may be the only viable options now, especially the way they supposedly value academics

although KU might be a good fit too, IDK

They don't have to expand. Why give KU and Uconn and piece of the pie when they don't bring anything to the table.

Willie, this is about Football, not hoops. No point in dividing up the pie with 2 others at the table when they had no commerical value.

Despite the tv network, Big ten is not a player (I'm a Wisky fan). The SEC is stalled out. This is about the ACC and what Texas decides to do. If you think that basketball is not in the equation, then I think you are wrong. Moneywise, yes football money, but college presidents and boards of regents in basketball schools care much about basketball and winter tv market money. Texas and Kansas will turn the golden key for conference realignments.

According to Jim Boeheim, it wasn't a factor. He didn't want to go to the ACC. Can't blame him.

I know they don't have to expand, and I'm not saying they will

but if they want to increase their exposure in greater NYC or the northeast in general, UConn & RU are their key

if not, so be it. The ACC may want to lock up the northeast corridor and can do so with those two schools as well. I would prefer to see some sort of merger / expansion with remaining B12 schools, but that may not provide enough stability in this volatile market

once TX and the B12 get settled, we'll have a better idea where all the chips are falling

I agree with TX, but somebody has to accept their one sided deals.

I think KU is pretty concerned right now , which is unbelievable

I'm concerned too, but our President is telling us there is no need to be

whatever
