Here is how I do it:

Just to keep it simple

Phillies moneyline -190 ($9.50 to win $5.00)
Phillies runline -1.5 [even] ($5.00 to win $5.00)

($14.50 to win $10.00) or -1 [-145]

that way it's roughly a push if your team wins by 1

I found this one a while back. Don't know how accurate it is, but,

If you want -1 on the game you have to do a little math

Let's say SD is -190

i take 100/190 = 0.53

take the 0.53 and add 1 = 1.53

then take the 1.53 and divide it again.. 100/1.53 = 65.39

now 65.39 is what you are going to risk on the ML... what ever the payout of that, you take that and risk it on the RL

and that’s how you get the -1 RL

------------------------------------------------------
Example:
Money line is -170 and Run Line is -1½ +125
A $25 dollar bet would be:
-170 you would risk $15.74 to win $9.26
-1½ +125 you would risk $9.26 to win $11.58
A $100 dollar bet would be:
-170 you would risk $62.96 to win $37.04
-1½ +125 you would risk $37.04 to win $46.30
