It is a 12 team keeper league that we are starting over from scratch. We had a a few owners drop from last year so we are redoing the draft from scratch. Yahoo is the site we are using to run the league. $100 honor fee paid to the winners at the end of the year. I have 2 maybe 3 openings. If anybody is interested in joining PM me and I will send you the invites. I set the draft for August 30th @ 7:30pm pacific time just to grab a draft slot but we can move around that draft date and time if it doesn't work for owners.
Yeah I am not a fan of the honor thing either but since we got a late start on prepping for the fantasy season it is too hard to collect prior to the start of the season. Besides I will ask owners to prepay when they can but I wont force the issue. Most of the people in the league are either co workers or owners who I have played fantasy games with for 10+ years.
$100 fee. payouts go to the super bowl winner, super bowl runner up, regular season points champ and regular season best record. I might have a little payout for the winner of the 3rd and 4th place game. 12 team league 6 teams make the playoffs, the two division winners make the playoffs. Standing scoring 6 points for TD's all around, 1 point for 30 yards passing, 1 point for 10 yards rushing receiving. 5 bonus points for a player who throws for 300 yards, 5 bonus points for player who rushed or receives 100 yards.
Standard snake draft online. In the following year you have the option to keep up to three players. If you choose to keep 0-2 players you will be compensated with an early draft pick in place of your keeper player. For example if team A keeps three players the first 3 rounds will be his keeper picks then his draft starts in round 4. If team B keeps only two players he will get a draft pick in round 3 to get himself his third player on his roster before round 4 starts. Yahoo's software is very good at doing the keeper player draft online.
I will put a vote up in the league once it gets filled with 12 owners to see if the owners want to pay the commissioner (myself) in season and I can issue payments once the season ends or if they want to do the honor system and leave it up to the owners to pay the winners themselves.
I have never had anybody I didn't know pay their fees. Sometimes you have to remind them with a friendly email but the people I vouch for always pay. The problem I have had is with the people that other owners bring into the league becoming MIA at the end of the season. I think owners like to pay at the end of the year because they are so confident they are going to win that they don't want to put the money up front and just assume they are going to be in the money at the end of the year so why send of a check in September.
I will have fun with it regardless.
