Here is the deal....i got an email from betonline with all my account info asking me to verify it....seemed a little fishy but i did it. 5 mins later i get another email from them containg my UserName AND Password and telling me to download some software to continue to use them. i dont understand and it seems as many people here use them someone would have mentioned it by now...in the chat they guy trys to tell me its just for poker but was all that neccesarry to update the poker software? and they have to email it to you to boot? Im wondering if my accts been hacked and all these emails are fake/phishing, whatever.....i tried chat but he didnt seem to give very clear answers as to y this is happening....

MJ Nunez: Thank you for contacting BetOnline Live Chat Service. How may I assist you today?
AllynLong: I got an email from u purporting to want me to verify my information... i did so.
MJ Nunez: ni Allyn
MJ Nunez: and what seems to be the problem?
AllynLong: i got an email back containing my username and password and telling me to download some software.......is this normal?
MJ Nunez: yes you need to download the software
AllynLong: Is that for everyone? i dont understand y not just use the site?
MJ Nunez: thats just if you want to download the poker application
AllynLong: i already have the poker scam software....what is this a new version?
MJ Nunez: I will be right with you...
MJ Nunez: for the poker to work you must download the software that is our recommendation
MJ Nunez: your acct its already verified
AllynLong: i just dont understand y i would need a link from an email ...y not just have it on the front page of ur site...download new poker?. this is weird...
MJ Nunez: that is the new procedure
AllynLong: ive also never heard of a site sending ur password in an email...that is VERY unsecure...
MJ Nunez: That is the new procedure, we work by email.

I use betonline daily but don't play the casino or online poker and have never received an e-mail from them requesting my username and password. Only during "Live Chat" or over the phone have they asked for that information. Hmm!
