well the umpire did NOT know the rules he thought if it hit the padding its a homer, he was wrong...

mick kellerher who hands the lineup card in for the yanks said the ump went over the game rules and mick said that the ump said "it has to go over BOTH fences" and made it clear..but the he obviously FORGOT the rule

def very sketchy, almost like he had money on the game...hmm

Last leg of a 5 teamer, cost me $1200. The way my season has been goin, so typical to lose like that. Just curious has there ever been a protested game, and what wud happen to ur bet, any ideas?

you cant protest a game after its over, if girardi protested the game last night after the blown call and took his team off the field....then the league would review the play, obviously see its not a homer, then they would replay the game at that point where it was protested...

if you had a wager on it it would prob get canceled depending on which book..some books may leave it but you would prob get money back, if you had them in a parlay...they would take the yanks out of the parlay and pay you for 4 teams not 5

that's BS. all they have to do is make up some BS story about their irresponsible call and move on. when will they be accounted for their mistakes. take responsibility for their actions. either fine or suspend them (umpires). there need to be more integrity in baseball. right? that's all

It's too bad, the first 5 weeks of the season the umpires were doing a great job, I remember commenting to myself that the umpires were getting all the difficult calls right, avoiding confrontations, etc. etc. etc.

Then something in the middle of May, from the middle of May to date, every call seems wrong, they blow ground rules rulings, balls are now strikes, and all of a sudden the umpires feel compelled to run any manager that look at them funny, when 3 months ago they were willing to listen.

Official scorers, same thing.

See the Brewer game yesterday?

Brews botched three grounds, (Prince two of them) that were sure errors, all ruled hits.
Been like that for a few months now too.

agreed...official scorers are morons, it is almost like the official scorers go against the home team

MLB needs to suspend without pay umpires who don't know the rules, interpret the rules correctly, are over aggressive, and don't know the individual ballpark rules...

that is just disgusting that he does not know the ballpark rules. How the fuck is he the lead ump? MLB does nothing, just let it go. This has a direct impact on the integrity of the game and nothing...

MLB is such a fucking joke. Umpires are such a fucking joke...
