Wow, they were fortunate to get what is most likely their 2 toughest non-conference games at home with Philadelphia and Green Bay...

Gonna be an uphill battle. But the head coach Mike Smith really knows what it takes to dig down deep on those kind of grind out yards type games. I like us going 1-1 on those. Winning Philly game losing a close one to GB.

Leaning over, I think they win 11 if the defense doesn't take a step back this year. Their passing game is going to be explosive as hell this year IMO... Roddy, Tony, Julio... and Harry Douglas is pretty ill in the slot. You know the running game will be solid at worst, so unless the defense takes a huge step back I think this is an 11 win team.

They have a tough schedule. All of these out of division games could be possible loses: @ Seattle, @ Detroit, @ Indy, @ Houston. Then you factor a home and away game with Tampa and New Orleans. Plus their tough home games with Philly, Green Bay. This leaves them zero room to slip up against fringe teams like Jville, Minnesota, Tennessee and Chicago.

I think if they win 10 games it should be considered a good season. If they win 11-12 games then it is a spectacular season. I can see them winning between 7-10 games this year but nothing more than that. They had too many close wins last year and Matt Ryan is a second tier QB and their defense isn't shut down enough to win many 4th quarters.

Thanks for the morning chuckle. Falcons have gotten better than last year and your saying they will be lucky to get to 10 wins. Then you predict them to be around .500. Then you say they have a tough game at Detroit. The defense was known for making key stops in the 4q last year. I know I am a homer, but your comments are comical. BTW, which good teams in the NFL doesn't win the close games. Never knew there where teams out there that just blows their opponents away. Also, if I remember right the Falcons ATS record was pretty good last year.

Falcons did make some nice moves. Ray Edwards in FA then bringing in JJones and Quiz Rodgers.

I wouldn't touch the line because NO had a nice offseason too and Tampa is solid. 1st place schedule.

I like the falcons but its not a line I'm crazy about.

Not looking good for the Falcons to get that 11 win total. Losing in Chicago was a game they needed based on their schedule. They should get that win back against a Manning-less Colts team though.

UNCLE CAESAR HAD OVER 10 LAYING ABOUT 110ish as best year total play

he has never lost and the best ever was over TENN when they rattled off 8 in a row to start the year as over 8. Had a buddy hit it hard at the Hilton yesterday as most places were 10.5 and 10 was attainable if you shopped ..also offshore at heritage...latest ever for his play this year but the group made it a late play this year hence my late notice...did post it the other night..even with the horrific loss today, i am a believer

I was laughed at when I said the Falcons were a .500 team this year. I made one posters day when I said @ Detroit is a tough road game for them.
