Thought I would share this humurous exchange I just had with a "private sports betting expert"

So i get a call yesterday from a number in california from a guy named mark. he launches immediately into a pitch about how he is 70% and he bets with major syndicates and has heard of me because of my solid reputation (sure my 50 dollar wagers are legendary in the business) and he wants to work with me this football season. he will start out with a free expert pick and when it wins he will call me back and we will do some real business. He gives me the Reds at-170 and they win last night.

so of course he calls me back and says that he has huge plays for me this weekend and clearly he is awesome since he gave me a winner last night. he wants me onboard as soon as possible so we can start making money. so i tell him that i will take 10 plays and if he goes over 60% i will consider signing up with him. then i ask if i can track any of his past performances. he proceeds to insult me saying that I am stupid if i belive any tracking sites or forums because they can be altered. then he says he cant give his info away for free but if i sign on now he will discount his package all the way down to 2500 ....i try and ask what i will be getting for my 2500 and i am told that i will be up so big in the 1st month that after that it wont really matter what he charges i will be glad to pay since he is that good

i have already fallen for this a few years back so i know the scam but i play along anyway for fun this time..i wonder if when they sell my info back in forth my name is highlighted in bright letters as SUCKER

The real humor to all this is i know where it all originated from. I fell for a tout scam called David Banks and they passed my info all around like a town whore..now that i am a little more knowledgable due to my participation on this site i can laugh at how badly i fell for it before..

oh and he closed out the call by saying that when i am losing in a month i can call him back and he will still accept me as a client...what a douchemonger

I used to play wayne roots fantasy football years ago so i usually got a few calls from them a year, until last year when they called me for a weekday match up, as the caller is telling me how much of a lock it is i check in the service play section and sure enough its already posted, over the total, i tell the guy i have been handicapping the game all day and only a complete idiot would be taking the over tonight, he agreed and told me his boss liked the under as well, I asked him if his boss actually bet the games, he said yes, so i asked him how his boss ever made any money betting if he takes both sides because he already gave out the over as his play...i got hung up on and never got called again.

70 % at -170 and the fees they charge not really a recipe for success.

I used to get calls a few years back. There were days that I would get 3-4 scamdicappers call a day. They bullshit stories, blah, blah, blah. I realized if that you engaged them they would try harder and harder to sell you. So now I really don't get called anymore. Its a really pain when you get these calls. I also use a secondary cell phone number which I rarely use. Stay far away from these guys!!!!

Before they even get started I ask them to repeat their name. Then I say "Mike I need your CC # because I have a "lock" in CFB this wknd", there's usually a stunned silence then a hangup!!:):)
