Are the Colts in trouble? Will Peyton Manning be there week 1. Even if he is will he be able to be up to game speed? I think he is a great QB but I am willing to bet there will be plenty of hurdles for the Colts the first 4 weeks of the season. The Colts have shot themselves in the foot by not having an adequate back up for Peyton these last 13 years. It is coming to light now. Peyton will be back but he will struggle greatly early on.

Indy will be fine. They have the luxury of playing in an easy division. Jax & Tenn blow. Houston gets hyped every season, but always end up sucking. I will believe that team is legit once they win over 8 games in consecutive years. I see Indy becoming more balanced this year or maybe relying on the run a little more.

Indy won't be fine without Manning, they have the worst backups in the league. Collins won't do the job and they have no running game to speak of.

First the first time in a long while, I didn't bet on Indy to go over the season total (this year it's 10.5). Even with Manning, they'll struggle to make the playoffs; without him, they're back to the mid-90's.

I agree DH, I mean seriously, has anyone seen the backups for Indy play? They are downright horrible.

If the defense can come close to the offense then we'll have something I believe patswins. I'm hoping though that it won't take too long for the new defense to figure everything out. At least the secondary was vastly improved.

Manning is not gone. He may miss week 1......they will be fine. Just like I said, two teams in the division blows donkey dick, and Houston is king of the no show.

Manning could end up missing many games imo because the neck is a potential career ending injury. This is not something you can just tape up or shoot up to get him to finish a game. I highly doubt we know everything about his injury. If there is risk of further damage with hits, I doubt he plays. What amazes me is Indy signing a backup so late in the game and will hurt them in the long run.

I think the Colts are in a little more trouble than we think. If not why did they panic and last minute (18 days) before the first game go sign Collins out of retirement. Manning is dealing with a nerve issue. Supposedly he is waiting on the nerve to return feeling. That can be a touchy issue when dealing with nerves, espeically in the neck. It may be ready to go by week 1 or it may be week 6 before he can return. I think the Colts will struggle early and often. I think they will make the playoffs but as the Wildcard and just barely. There is already infighting between team members. Reggie wayne was very displeased that Collins was brought in. Wayne is in a contract year and needs a good QB to post his numbers worthy of signing 1 last big deal. I say when Manning returns he will be rusty and like I've always said that offense is a timing based passing game. Peyton works numerous hours in the offseason and preseason with the WR's to assure their timing is down pat. NO work all offseason and jumping right back into game speed is gonna pose serious issues.

I called it....No Peyton Week 1. The nerves not healing is a very serious issue. Could be career ending.

Collins will keep this team competitive until manning fills the pocket.

He is no Peyton, but yes he will facilitate that off just fine. My question is will they still run the hurry up? That was the bread and butter that wore down opposing Def. If that is taken away will the Colts off still be effective?
