Honestly, I just read everything I can get my hands on. Websites, magazines, blogs, newspapers, etc. There is a ton of information - most of it bad - but even bad information has its uses.

I think the ability to pick winners on a consistent basis is something you either have or don't. I spend very little time "capping" games. Most times i know what play i'm going to make within 3 minutes of looking at certain things. Although, like most (i think) i do look at sports scores everyday and keep up with stories, players, trends, key injuries, streaks etc. A lot of times you can see lines and know what Vegas is wanting you to pick. This is all my perception and i could be totally full of shit. hahaha But i can pick a fuckin winner!

College early season, the number of starts the O-line have togather as a unit.

NFL early in the season, the team with the better Def that has returned most of their starters from the prior year.

In the NFL, how many ypc a defense gives up, is a stat I really like besides much of the things that Bourne mentioned.

I just got my first android, a revolution by LG.

So far everything I have tried is working on it.

Ditto on Rotoworld. The instant the 4th cousin of a beat writer tweets ANYTHING which could be the smallest bit of info, they post it. Guys getting days off in MLB at the last second... pitchers tweaking something in warm ups... an NBA player getting benched for missing a team meeting... ANYTHING. It's probably the simpliest & easiest way to get quick info on all the major sports. I go there at least 5 times a day between degen-ing it & also to hear fantasy updates.

I like to read hometown newspapers. Sort of gives you an edge when you follow what the coaches are thinking. This is especially true in preseason.
