Eagles agreed to terms with QB Michael Vick on a six-year, $100 million contract with $40 million guaranteed.

We'd have to see annual particulars to comment with 100-percent accuracy, but it's an eye-popping commitment to a 31-year-old quarterback who relies so much on his athleticism. Vick was previously scheduled to play this season on a $16.2 million franchise tag. It will be interesting to see how Vick develops when his speed starts to diminish. While he made strides as a passer last season, Vick's attribute that scares opponents most is still his run threat.

Good to know that the owners of the eagles are Still Smoking Weed.

If that is what the Eagles owners are smoking they should pass it around to the rest of the league..They are competitive every year and most years in the playoffs.. I'm sure Sanchez for the Jets got close to the same deal. Tell me who would you rather have Sanchez or Vick even at age 31?

Hard to Answer that last part, since Sanchez has only been in the League for a couple of years.
Ask me again in 2-3 Years, I'll give you my answer.

6/10/2009: Signed a five-year, $44.5 million contract. The deal contains $28 million guaranteed, including a $10 million option bonus in the second year. Sanchez can earn $6 million more via "likely to be earned" incentives. Another $9.5 million is available through escalators, but they are "unlikely to be earned." 2011: $14.75 million, 2012: $8.5 million, 2013: $4 million, 2014: Free Agent

It's the NFL,,where we all know, only that guaranteed money is what matters.

The precise total on Mike Vick's guaranteed money is $36M,
Which equates to a little over two years of the deal at its $16.7M avg.

and his 2011 cap hit is down from $16.2 million to $14.4 mil.

You would have think that most of that is earmarked for DJax's contract.

Amazingly, this isn't even close to being the biggest contract Vick has ever signed.
With the Atlanta Falcons, he inked a 10 year, $130 million deal.
