Not my style to do parlays but have been cashing some of these recently and thought I would post (aka jinx myself) with my plays tonight. These are all on Pinnacle.

Tuesday, August 30

1. Boston Red Sox ML +123

Nothing bad to say about the Yankees regardless of how they are playing but come on. Boston tagged CC Sabathia last time he started here and they are 16-5 in their last 21 games versus left handed pitchers. They are also 4-0 in John Lackey's last four starts as an underdog of +110 to +150 and as poorly as he has pitched at times, the Red Sox have won 9 of his last 13 starts versus a team with a winning record on the season, not to mention 7 of his last 9 starts overall. The Yankees are only 2-5 in their last seven games as a favorite of -110 to -150, they are not worth the price of admission these days and they have lost four straight CC Sabathia starts versus Boston. Keep fading. The Red Sox own the Yankees, that's not about to change and coming into this game they have won 12 of the last 14. I was going to stake a bit on the OVER in this game too but the value is with the Sox who are batting .309 versus lefties at home this year and have hit .298 in their last 10 games overall. A-Rod is out, Jeter could miss too and Red Sox should win.

2. Milwaukee Brewers ML -141

Goodbye Cardinals and nothing to spoil in this series although they could make up some ground. On that note I feel comfortable paying this price for a team that has won 8 of their last 10 games overall and that are 50-16 at home this season. The Cardinals are 0-4 in their last four games coming off a day off and they stand 10.5 games back of the Brewers in the NL Central race/runaway. Milwaukee has been cash money in the first game of a series all year going 11-0 in their last 11 series opening games and they have won 24 of their last 29 home games versus a team with a winning record on the year. It doesn't get more impressive than this and the Brewers are going to be a huge hand full in the playoffs in about a months time. Marcum has struggled at home against good teams and the Cardinals rocked him the last time they saw him here but he is pitching a lot better right now and the Brew Crew have won 6 of his last 8 starts. The Cardinals have lost 7 of their last 8 in Milwaukee and I am fading them against one of the best home teams in all of baseball.

3. Arizona Diamondbacks ML -133

This is to close out my parlay and I trust the D-Backs enough to do it. They come into this game having won seven straight games and they are a good enough home team to trust in this spot. The pitching between these two teams doesn't even compare with the Rockies sporting a 5.06 ERA as a pitching staff their last 10 games compared to Arizona's pitching staff who have an ERA of 1.86 in their last 10 games. Right now Arizona has control of the Division but you never know in baseball so losing games like this is not an option. The Rockies have won just 1 of their last 9 games versus a team with a winning record on the season and are 1-6 in Aaron Cook's last 7 starts versus a team with a winning record on the season. The Diamondbacks have won seven straight at home versus right handed starters and 16 of their last 21 as a home favorite so this has been a profitable spot to back them all year. Dan Bellino is a big time HOMER home plate umpire (Home Team is 6-0 in his last six) and I feel comfortable backing Arizona knowing Colorado is 1-6 in Aaron Cook's last 7 starts in Arizona. D-Backs win.

3-Team Parlay

Boston +122
Milwaukee -141
Arizona -133

$1000 to win $5673.28
