New York Mets -133
I really like the way Chris Capuano pitched in his last outing. Still, that would almost never be enough to make me wager on a team (from last outing only). Pitching alone doesn't warrant a decision - let alone one start.
The Mets have a nice defensive lineup in their tonight. Reyes back in the lineup allows New York to get back to small ball, couple that with stellar middle-infield play. Evans (1B) looks pretty good with the glove and bat and he has been effective in this series.
Marlins SP Chris Volstad has not been dominate, but he is a very capable starter. I expect him to pitch fairly well tonight at Citi Field.
The Marlins played well last night - not out of character for them to struggle as a follow up to a good performance late in last night's game.
Sharp bettors are recognizing the Marlins' ability to win road games - I am giving the nod to a Mets team that has looked sharp all around the past week (baring one poor game Tuesday night).
I cannot help but to think Capuano is going to follow up with another high-quality start. Acosta and Parnell had Tuesday night off, so they are available.
MLB Record, 2011 Season 9-1 (8.13 units)
