I say no. Running backs just don't hold up and he's not the biggest guy either.

the easy answer is No, and its the right answer. Johnson is elite because ofhis speed... He's going to be truning 26 this season, meaning hell be 30 then. hell lose that top speed. Could he still be an average back, certainly.

His game is based in his speed and that's about all. Once that starts slipping that will be that.
But then again he my turn out to be another Darrell Green and retain his speed longer than most...

Elite would mean top 6 RB fantasy pick IMO...

I'll bump in 2016 and see where he is projected...

My guess is No...

Prime example....LaDanian Tomlinson....Enough said. Same type of back....Elusive, speedy, not know for power. LT had a few injuries, got old and became mediocre. This will be the road map for Chris Johnson, mark my words and come back to this in 2016 and see.

Going in:

1. Adrian Peterson, Min – He’s the top RB in the league and the Vikings will be sure to rely on their horse while they get Donovan McNabb comfortable in the offense.

2. Chris Johnson, Ten – The addition of Matt Hasselback will add balance to the offense and C2K is playing for a large payday. He could end up the top fantasy football RB again in 2011.

3. Jamaal Charles, KC – He’s as explosive as any back in the league, but loses carries to Thomas Jones. Things could be different this year. Jones is on the downside of his career and we expect Charles to have a more prominent role in the offense.

4. Ray Rice, Bal – The Ravens became too pass happy in 2010 and abandoned the run early and often. We expect Rice’s results this year resemble 2009.

5. Arian Foster, Hou – He burst onto the scene to lead the NFL in rushing in 2010. He’s a dynamic threat, both rushing and receiving, and will only get *better in this offense.

Now will 5tp find this in 2016 to bump???? 50/50 on that, unless they Kicked me outta here...

if ryan mathews or javid best stay healthy they may be top 5 in 2016....and they would be there now if they wern't so injury prone.

LT was at the top for a long time imo...even his first or second year in NYJ he was pretty good.
