good day yesterday 3-1 +7.7 units

Strong Plays

Philadelphia Phils -143 -- Fading my Brewers again for the second straight day...I dont know what it is but they get physched out when they play good teams with there good pitchers on the mound, Marcum will give up to many today. (to win 5 units)

Juice Play

Chicago Cubs/NyMets over 8.5 -- Im not big on over unders (5-0) on posted o/u's..but we get 2 bad pitchers that should go way over the 8.5 (to win 2 units)

Action Play

Texas -1.5 +115 -- I hate run lines but think Texas gets it done in blowout fashion at home. (risking 1 unit)

vs oakland Lewis has pitched 27.2 innings giving up 8 runs with a 2.60 era, and pitches the best vs oakland than any other teams he faces.

and most of his earned runs at home came from Boston 9 earned 1 game, Detroit 7 earned 1 game, and Toronto 6 earned 1 game.

On the other side of the coin, Lewis owns OAK this year and for his career. And Texas owns McCarthy statistically speak it's lopsided. Plus Texas has hot bats, are in a race, and are at home.

As one who watches all 162 of the Rangers, I'm hesitant to back Lewis in any spot right now. His last 3 starts have been atrocious and if he catches the Rangers bats on the wrong night, they could find themselves playing from behind which makes the RL that much tougher.

I'm not saying the Rangers don't get a W tonight...I'm just not sure I'd back them in this spot (I definitely wouldn't back the A's here). Then again, Rodgers is running well and has plenty of coin on his side so 1 unit is a very appropriate wager for those needing the action.

feel you on that. Rangers 2.5 up on the Angels, pretty massive game, Lewis has been shaky lately, but I think the bats come to play in Arlington tonight. It's a matter of Lewis just being decent, he doesn't have to be great tonight just decent. Hopefully he can pull it off!

He is a very good hitter, but texas has so many players that carry a good stick, 1 player shouldnt matter to much on this offense.

Now if Kinsler, Hamilton, Young are out...thats a different story, lol

Beltre is back and hitting well too.
