they can get out of the contract at the end of this season with no money owed if they want.
everyone is acting like getting another new qb in there would be an instant upgrade. New qb would have to learn the system and develop some re pour with the wrs, it would take at least 4-5 weeks and by that time the season could already be over. If it was favre of 7-8 years ago, sure, but this current version is slow, fragile, and not in shape. palmer has not done any football stuff for a year, so he is not ready
I think they have committed to Collins more than a contract. From everything I've read, he has gained the respect of the mgmt. and teammates by working OT, studying, and being a professional. I don';t think there is any way they let one game affect their commitment to Collins. If he turns in a few more stinker games, maybe they go to the rookie... but for now all the preseason reports I have seen show a lot of respect for Collins. I think at the worst they give up on a winning season and throw the young QB's into the fire. It's Collins or bust from here though
