typewriters

heh.....Would have to dig it up, but I read an article within just this past year that says the NYPD still budgets over a quarter million dollars per year for "typewriter maintenance & service". And for good reason since the majority of precincts still demand detectives and other personnel file reports using typewriters due to not being able to afford proper computer networks in house.

It's unreal now. Even on college campuses where you would expect a lot of eye contact, majority walk between buildings staring at the palm of their hand with you know what cradled in it.

Familiar with this story.

The forms are made for typewriters, it's not so much they can't afford computers, they are comfortable in their 1970's ways.
