i think after 23 straight lost bets, id bet both sides of a game just to see a win in my history field
Very ironic you said this. I had a 24-game losing streak of my own last year...no joke. I can probably find posts I made about it here if I look hard enough in my post history. I was down to betting about 1/15th of my usual play size and still going out of my mind when I'd lose every single play day after day.
So I found a CFB game and bet both sides of the first quarter. I got a win, lost $5 in juice...and strangely, that kickstarted a sudden turnaround. I know right now it feels like you'd somehow lose both plays, but try it.
Another thing you might want to try is to do an opposite side parlay for a small amount. If I bet 5 or 6 baseball games, I'll play the opposite teams in a 6-teamer for maybe a tenth of my unit size just in case. And you'd be surprised how often I've hit it, and how well it pays when you do.
The good news is while this is the worst feeling in the world right now, you'll get it back and then some when you get hot. I just got done suffering through six straight months without a single collect from my local (although I did make half a dozen payouts). But for the last 3 weeks, I've been on a major roll...and I've made back everything I've lost in those six months. Tonight I had the Diamondbacks, for example...and I won enough on them to cover maybe 12-15 losses I had when I was cold. It's entirely about recognizing the streaks you're on and either capitalizing or cutting back. I can't explain specifics on streaks, but I can recognize which one I'm currently in.
Hang in there, ANOTHERDAY. It'll get better. There is no infinity button for a losing streak.
