There has been almost no updates on the lockout. Nobody's even talking about it. It's sad. NBA was a good sport to bet on for me. At least I'll have college bball but what about when that ends? From the end of NFL to the start of baseball there will be nothing.

It's a good year to fine tune your skills with the NHL and European Soccer leagues, at least that's how I am approaching it with the absence.

ratings say otherwise.

in the past few years it has been outperforming mlb.

im sticking with my original thought that the season won't be played.

i think if your an optimist, half the season will be lost.

the nba is different then nfl because the nba model cant continue to sustain itself, at least according to the owners.

Things probably will not move too far until both sides start losing money. Even then, this might be a realignment year. I hate to miss a NBA season. I’m pretty good with the NBA and terrible with the NFL. “A man’s gotta know his limitations”.

Funny thing is I could care less. With the NFL I was going to be looking for a way to fill my fall Sundays, but NBA....whatever. As long as there is college hoops to watch during the week i'm fine. Outside of Christmas day I rarely watched NBA games until March anyways.

Nobody cares about the NBA right now because it is not basketball season. Once they start missing games, the news will pick up.

The NBA might miss SOME games, but with the TV money being as big as it is, they will come to some kind of agreement to have a season. Right now you have a sect of new owners who are driving a hard line (lead by Ted Leonsis, Wizards owner). They want a hard cap and other things the players want nothing to do with. In the end the owners that have been there the longest and are making money (Lakers, Knicks, Bulls) are going to put there foot down and come to some kind of agreement. Too much money to lose out on.

If we can avoid the NBA for one season, it will make the world a better place. You still have coll hoops , which is alot better game with more passion. Trust me , you won't miss it

thats because you dont like the league.

nba fans like myself want a season.

your statement would be more logical with the nhl, who was getting beat out by wrestling during the stanley cup.

nba finals ratings were pulling record highs this past season.

and i agree with the other poster who said people will start complaining when its closer to the regular season.

College basketball is awesome. Outside of Duke, the refs actually let the players decide who wins. I'm a Duke fan but I'll admit the refs love us sometimes...

NBA basketball is my favorite sport to watch on TV.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I will miss it a lot.

Your right I don't like the league ! Guarenteed contracts have killed this league ! Don't like fools beating on their chests or whining to the refs all night long.

One of my favorites also. I usually do pretty well too during the season (except last year, by far my worst season ever) Hope there is some sort of season this year
