Wakefield was a tough luck loser in his last outing and tonight he put in a game effort and was rewarded..................and was the good luck WINNER.

Wakefield moves to 7-6 on the season.

What a shame the Orioles won also.

I have been waiting like the rest of Red Sox Nation for weeks for this special win for a great player and even better person Tim Wakefield. Say what you want about him but winning 200 games in the show is something to be especially proud of...No he will not make the MLB HOF but he is a cinch to make the Red Sox HOF and no one will ever where #49 in a Boston uniform again...

Congrats on your career 4.41 ERA (5.13 this year)... how this guy continues to find work blows my mind... he is by far the worst 200 game winner of all time.

This is a true player ..................Jeeze he has been around so long , the Pirates were in the playoffs when he broke in the bigs
I remember his Mother & Father @ the Playoff games ...........So solid .
