Hors-la-loi, known as Outside the Law in America, has to be one of the 10 best movies ever made. It's pretty much an Algerian gangster movie. Incredible.
I'm watching Amintiri din epoca de aur now and it's pretty damn good too. Not in my all-time list but it's a collection of shorter stories talking about random Romanian myths and the BS they were fed during the "Golden Age". Known in America as "Tale from the Golden Age".
I also watched TrollHunter from Norway but didn't like it. It got solid reviews and had good special effects though if you are into monster movies but are tired of the normal monsters. A plus here was numerous shots of beautiful countryside.
