I have a degenerate gambler friend who needs a book.

Wondering whether anyone has any suggestions for a credit situation. Guy has casino markers, players club cards, is worth like 25 mill, and I just went to Tahoe with him and watched him drop 145k this weekend. He was complaining about having to drive all the way to Tahoe from the Bay Area every weekend, and asked me to help him find a book that would let him get down 20-30k per game.

Guy is terrible. TERRIBLE. I would love to find a reputable spot to set him up at, and basically be this guy's agent. He had a dude at Tradewinds but the legal hassles killed it.

Realistically, I would love to set this up, but I'd need to establish whomever contacted me (if anyone) was reputable, and obviously I would verify whatever necessary on my end.

so they should be any trouble with Your "Friend" to post up like $300K ??

I mean let's face it. Somebody off the Street ( off the Internet in this case )
wants to Bet $20-$30K per game should give something of Good faith, No ??

I'll take him on, is how does 150k a week? 50k a game sound. There is a catch though Ties lose on teasers and Max payouts on parlays are 500,000, will he have a problem with that?

NES, BAS question here... these people that come in asking for a local, whats the angle?? Are they just looking for someone to give them credit and then if they happen to win collect, and if lose just vanish and start the whole thing over again??

Also if you were really looking for a book wouldn't it be a bad idea to do so publically?? Couldnt a PM or 2 to the right guys on this site solve the problem???

True. Only a complete f'ing idiot would expect a response of substance from the small-timers who frequent this board. This is hardly the only avenue I am pursuing, but I thought my post might be seen by individuals with access to a Vegas-style background check. As I indicated, this individual has received significant credit at his preferred casinos, and is prepared to satisfy whatever sort of reasonable background check -- including a sit-down meeting -- that would be required of the operation extending credit. I understand that pithy sideline commentary is the last vestige of the hapless gambler, so by all means, if it adds any color to an otherwise listless existence, please fire away, while I continue looking for someone who will kick me down a small percentage of this player's losses.
