HOW DOES THE SERIES TURN OUT?

Some Fun Facts while you consider your vote

*Boston 14 games this season vs Rays has mustered a lusty 43 runs (3.07 pg). If we allow the Rays a single friendly mulligan for the July 16 game where Sox notched nine, it's just 34 runs scored in the other 13 head to head (2.65 pg)

*Boston pitching in past 17 games has surrendered 107 runs (6.3 pg)
*Rays pitching in past 36 games has surrendered 105 runs (2.8 pg)

*TB pitching in past 17 games has surrendered 57 runs (3.4 pg)

*Rays record in past 23 games where they score 5+ is 23-0

It's a good thing for the Bosox fans that Tampa Bay keeps losing to lowly Baltimore...

Bosox bats will need to "heat up" to 7+ runs a game if their crippled and foddering pitchers continue to get banged like cheap whores at Mardi Gras

meanwhile:

Tampa has shown time and time again this season that they aren't clutch enough and their offense disappears. Weiland will be a loss most likely but I am expecting 2-2 the worst out of this weekend. Most likely 3-1.

Nothing to fear Boston.

As a fan I want the opposite. Put these guys to bed so we can rest our players and set up rotation.

Set up rotation??

Lester, Beckett, Howard & Fine?

Entering Thursday, Rays 9-5 vs Boston in 2011 with a composite score of 72-43

i know you are a fan barman, but this head to head matchup won't cement the season for either team. Tampa's got a ton of games against the Yanks and their bound to donate a game to the Jays. While the Red Sox get to beat up on the O's for 7 games. The odds are heavily against them.

Thanks for the friendly response, RoyalsFan

Disclosure....My Sainted Mother is a KC-area resident and we would all love to see them assemble some kind of consistency, eh?

Meanwhile, Allow Me To Retort

*Rays win 3 of 4 here and it's a 2 game gap entering Monday

*Rays play four AT NYY in three days and we would love to see 2-2

*Rays would then need to sweep Jays 3-0

*Final three at home vs NYY who (presumably) enter those last three with division clinched. Gives Rays a solid shot to go 2-1, though I am not ceasing my hourly burnt offerings to ZOD that a 3-0 sweep could close our season

----
*Sox go 1-3 vs Rays as mentioned above
*Sox next weekend play three in Bronx and go 1-2
*Sox do have seven vs Balt, but likely find it challenging to "beat up on them" if Boston pitching continues past three week pace of allowing 6.4 runs per game. Let's say they win 4-3 in those seven

RAYS 10-4, BOSTON 6-8......Tied at 92 Wins

The THC-induced scenario carefully crafted in Post #16 is all for shit if the fucking Angels crank it up even more and win 93+ games

we have the offense, that's for sure. We just need a pitching overhaul, same as every year.

You make fair points, and tonight they got their predicted win. I'm curious to see how they respond against Beckett and Lester.
