Been studying this match-up for awhile and like the +600 on Ortiz. Mayweather appears vulnerable to me in this spot. Who/what do you like? Lines are from 5Dimes.

Victor Ortiz +600
Floyd Mayweather -900

Will Go 11.5 Rounds -170
Won't Go 11.5 Rounds +140

Ortiz By Decision +1750
Ortiz By KO +770
Mayweather By Decision -152
Mayweather By KO +193
Draw +5000
No Draw -9000

I'm thinking Mayweather by KO makes sense. That being said, I'll be watching MMA. Boxing can wake me when they get Mayweather/Pacman together. Just not interested anymore...

It's hard to bet against Mayweather, he is just so fast and does not get hit. Until he gets beat my money is on him

Already Hit Ortiz hard over at Betonline. ( +550 ) now down to +500

Been looking at this match for a while as well.

Yes, hard to bet against the name "Mayweather", but IMHO Ortiz wins this.

This fight going the distance seems like the best bet on the board

Mayweather a handpicking sissy but he does have decent top level boxing talent. Ortiz showed a lot of heart against Berto but he has little defensive skills and his overall quickness and hand speed is subpar which is going to be hard to overcome against a crafty defense first Mayweather.

Ortiz has good pop and I expect a warrior effort in attempts to hurt Mayweather but I think he's left with the dreaded "punchers chance" here.

*much more interested in the Dawson/Hopkins fight one month from today, I think Dawson is too much for the old man. And I don't think it goes the distance like the odds are strongly suggesting.

Save your money Ted. Ortiz has virtually no shot. Floyd is going to school him. Only chance the kid has is a fluke one punch KO or a cut. If you like Ortiz take him to win by KO. Every Floyd fight the opponent gets built up by HBO and the promoters and it turns into a mismatch. This will be the same as the other 40something wins by Floyd. The only 2 fighters within reason weight wise that could give Floyd some trouble are Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams.

Ortiz is a wide puncher with a poor jab. Once Floyd gets comfotable and figures him out ans after enough counters he'll turn into a shell and collect his paycheck. All of this is a tuneup for Manny. An aggressive young southpaw who beat a highly overrated Berto. Floyd beats this kid and Manny beats Marquez and the 2 should meet up by May 2012.

All that having been said, laying 6 or 7 to 1 is always risky, but come fight day I'll back Floyd with some action knowing how much I've made on him over the years.

I have Mayweather in a parlay that includes Klitschko and Pacquiao. The Klitschko fight is already a winner just waiting on these last two now. I got value though getting Mayweather at -600 Pacquiao -750 and Klitschko at -450 all at the Cal Neva 2 months ago

I'm taking the conspiracy route here, the powers that be will not allow Floyd to lose and diminish the Pac-Man fight.

I'm so tired of these bullshit manufactured "fights" at weigh-ins. It's becoming like pro wrestling. Just get on the scale. No one buys your shitty acting guys.

Ortiz has knocked down every fighter that he has fought...would love to see Mayweather flat on his ass....

And then see PAC Man keep him on his ass....

I don't think it's soo much a conspiracy versus the actual truth. Floyd is just that much better and in the end the money and hype will kick in for a Mayweather vs Pac fight. Then is won't matter who wins because their will be a rematch. In the rematch the other fighter will win and then we'll have a rubber match. By then both fighters will have made over $100 Million and be set to retire.....along with boxing.
