Pitching in the 6th Kershaw hits Parra on the elbow and is immediately ejected. Plate ump didn't hesitate.

How do you toss a CY PITCHER with credibility and nasty stuff. He hit 1st guy of night, not his 2nd or 3d?? anybody?

And he has a one hitter. No way that was on purpose with Cy young on the line.

I think it was absolutely on purpose. He was lights out all night with impeccable control and happens to hit... Parra? He let his emotions get the better of him, however getting tossed was a bit much. I don't agree with the ejection, but he most certainly meant to hit him.

Not trying to justify it, but If any of you watched last night's game, you would understand the ump's motivation.

If anyone has no idea what I'm referring to, there was an incident last night that involved Parra. Kershaw basically gestured from the dugout that he was going to get him tonight.

previous games should never factor into current game. I f batter hit early in1 game, the give warnings, but be careful, espceially with playoff teams

I have to strongly disagree. Warnings were given last night and before tonight's game.

As far as playoff teams go, the Dodgers have almost been mathematically eliminated.

Umps should be aware, but 1st hit batter on the night is not grounds for ejection, especilly the CY YOUNG CK, not a bum like john lackey, umps are aware if NYY/BOS when pre games werw violwnt, but 1 hit batter prior is no reason to eject.Umps havde to much power thrse days and beanings is part of the game with termd of respect and letting others knowmwe protect are own

Yup - you knew something was going to happen after last night. I was surprised he didn't get it done in the third inning though...1 out - Parra up - and the pitcher behind. Would rather get it done there than in the 6th with no one out...maybe he didn't plan on hitting him but Parras double in the third pissed him off again.

Love this style of baseball though. Kuo did ring one up high on Parra but it was unintentional...no need to strut after hitting the bomb. Blow to Kershaw for the Cy Young but I like the fact that he was more concerned with backing his team than getting an individual award.
