RX Spam?

Don't know where to post this but I've been getting tons and tons of tout spam lately. I am not trying to accuse the RX of anything but I think it has come from this site because I am have not bet online since Matchbook closed like 8 months ago or whatever.

Anyone else having this problem?

As Always. the RX does Not share any information with outside parties.

there is a small possibly that the Old owners of matchbook sold a mailing list.

not 100% sure, just a thought. (<)<

I noticed an uptick recently; I have a couple of junk filters that are starting to get rid of it though.

you can change your settings not to get emails from administrators, but with casino's, forums, sportsbooks, poker rooms etc, spam gets out there, people make such a big deal of it but takes milli seconds to delete...

It's more an annoyance when linked to something like phones/tablets.

I get a number of important emails, and my iDevices alert me to their arrival -- spam from sportsbooks isn't important, but unless junk filters are properly set/tuned I'm also alerted to their arrival, which is irritating.

Agree with this. I mean it takes 2 seconds to delete but at the same time reading like 10 "5 STAR PLAY, 5-0 LAST WEEKEND!" headlines in my email every day is getting annoying.

Not from the RX. My address that's with them never gets tout spam..

Another email address about a month ago started getting 5 emails a day from all different services, and I emailed them back asking how'd I end up getting on their list, finally one guy replied saying he bought it from a handicapping lead site. Everyone that emails me, I say if you purchased this list from ___ site, they have sold more times than I can count. I always get replies back saying thank you... Hopefully the touts keep giving this handicapping leads sites hell and it will stop.... I dont even use that address anymore because its so bad...

I am guessing that's what happened to you Patsfan....

Those handicapping lead sites must make a killing. I bet if I logged into that email now, I would have 50 different touts all from different places emailing me...
