The Angels avoided a three-game sweep against the Baltimore Orioles with an 11-2 win Sunday. “Everybody felt the need, not just me,” commented Angels shortstop Erick Aybar, who went 4 for 4 with two home runs. The club is 19-21 versus AL East opponents this year, splitting the first six meetings with Toronto this season. Los Angeles is 30-25 when facing left-handed starters this year.

Angels starting pitcher Jerome Williams is 3-0 with a 3.90 ERA in seven appearances (four starts) this season. He is coming off a no-decision effort last time out, giving up three runs and seven hits over 4 1/3 innings in a 6-3 road win over the Oakland Athletics. The right-hander will be making just his fourth outing (third start) away from home, coming in with a 1-0 record and 7.62 ERA. Williams will be facing the Blue Jays for the first time in his career.
