No, not refurbished. Doesnt list all the specs on either TV though.

I have never owned a Mitsubishi or heard much about them.

I'm not a TV guru but I tried to keep up with it in years past. 5 years or so, there was a lot of talk how Mitsubishi was the best for larger TVs. They were trying to create a niche for themselves. But everything in this industry changes so quickly, you may want to look into a bit more.

My suggestion is to call/ goto store and get model numbers of both tvs. Then look them up on amazon/ebay.. If ur saving a boatload go for it!

If u want to call now and get model numbers we can do the research on both sets for u to find out if it's a great deal.

here is the response from the big screen store:
Promotion going on while supplies last. WD73638 and TC-P42X3 $1799. WD73740 and WD73840 promotionally priced with 42” included as well. Pricing on the 740 and 840 only available in store. THX

Pretty quick looks online. its not the greatest deal as it appears.

if u go by best buy prices then sure 1599 + 599 = 2200. But u can get these tvs separate at tigerdirect 1160$ on the 73" and 42" Panasonic from amazon for $499. so thats 1659 which is 140$ cheaper than the store is offering.. so super deal .. no but decent sure . my suggestion is if u really just want the one big tv look and search for the brand and the specs u want online for the best price. if u need both than search for both sizes and brands separately.. u are bound to find better deals depending on models this way.

here is the links for the 2 cheapest prices i found in a matter of mins.. im sure deeper searching might even save u more if u are really stuck on these specific sizes and brands.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6277547&sku=M402-7322

My final suggestion is to goto http://slickdeals.net and to look for tv deals in their forums with hot deals section.. they honest do tons of research for u.. and people only post verifiable deals from legit stores u can trust.

gl in ur search

I want to say besides that the reason why I wasn't impressed with these tvs is because they are last year's or two years ago models. That is mainly why I consider it to be a warehouse clearance deal and not good cuz outdated electronics means your missing a whole lot. On top of that getting dlp tvs and 720p tvs is definitely taking steps backward in its own right and i still. Believe pricing these tvs. Out separately would be more beneficial.

Also my real recommendation is to hold out and scan the market the next three-four weeks cuz coming up on Thanksgiving which is 8weeks out there will be tremendous deals and u can save hundreds on awesome tvs during the after Thanksgiving day sales including online purchases. Last year I bought a 1200$ tv for 899 and its still priced at 1200 today so it wasn't some gimmick. Beyond that there will be every store competing on tvs so u will have a lot more choices and pricing.

Just something to think about if u can hold out a bit longer. :toast:
