Not overrated, don't love the guy, but he knows how to prepare his squads, and he does win.

Now, ask my opinion of Tony LaRussa.

multiple Super Bowl wins, went 16-0 in the regular season once, still produced double-digit wins one year when Brady was out the entire year, develops young players through the draft

.............best in the business IMO

.................spygate actually proves he is a great coach IMO becaue it proves how committed he is and that he is looking for any edge possible and bending the rules, working the gray areas, happens in the SEC all the time, just like the SEC if your coach doesn't get at least secondary NCAA violations then he is letting your program down, the goal is to win and find any little edge possible by walking the tight-rope and working the gray areas

15-6 in the playoffs

I'm going to go with the best in the modern era (last 25 years), based purely on won loss

especially considering how the Pats turn over their roster and let one star after another leave, besides Brady

Brady and Belichick are approaching the alltime wins for coach/QB combo passing Schuler and Marino and will pass them this year.
I must say they have gone through a 5 year stretch of horrible drafts.
Fuckin guys from Florida suck.
I can tell you being a Pats fan.You know a Belichick team is prepared to play every week.
Pats losing a game is almost a freak occurance.Considering its the oppositions Super bowl to play the Pats.
Pats are circled on everybodys schedule.
Watch Buffalo lose to Cinn this week.

Wow, don't know if GTC's post earlier about Tom Brady or this one is dumber. Really?

So, if someone robs a bank, are they determined to be rich, regardless of fear of laws and doing hard time.

Also, please explain his greatness in Cleveland. I don't recall 2 playoff appearances in 5 years, well, that is because there was only 1. The genuis cut Bernie Kosar for Vinny Intercepteverde.

If Brady didnt luckily fall into his lap, would he still have everyone slobbing over him? Just asking?

3 superbowl wins all by a FG. Long time since the last one. Had no business losing to the Giants after going 19-0, having plenty of time to prepare for game and being 13pt faves.

Those are extreme examples you cite to support your position. This is pretty common when people have discussions and when they are looking for something to support their view.
As far as Cleveland, he was getting good head coaching experience since they say "experience is something you get right after you need it most"

The point I was making is that coaches are always looking for an edge or something cutting-edge or innovative. Furthermore, it looks "fishy" when Mangini (a former New England coach) and his team (Jets) call him out on it especially since Belichick gave him a great opportunity at a young age to help his coaching career. Not much loyalty from Mangini IMO. That is probably why I am more forgiving than others on that situation.

He was the one who drafted Brady.
Thanks for making my point.

you know, there are people here that argue that it's Belichick's system that made Brady

now you're saying Brady made Belichick

damn, we're catching it from both sides

if the Pat's weren't the winningest team in the NFL, I guess we wouldn't be having these discussions

I'm cool

long story short I cant get over how creative and intelligent he is when it comes to NFL head coaching.

he thinks of the things that matter that few others seem to do

IMO I think if Bledsoe doesn't get hurt, they still beat the Rams and possibly we may be talking about Bledsoe and Belichick.
