to take a look at 3 other hits called pf's this week and ask why this was not called on vick! yet they don't show 200 other non calls on other qb's around the league! btw did they mention philly is tied with 1 nfc team for most pf's on a qb!
if the helmet and leading with the helmet is such a concern! then linemen should stand up and not go head to head on the snap! rb's lower there head every time and lead with the helmet! all lb's lead in some way with the helmet! rles are getting stupid! wanna eliminate then eliminate all and not just certain cases of db vs wr or se vs qb!
vick gets hit a ton, why because he holds the ball so damn long! he is a sack machine, an int machine and of all a fumble machine! he will fumble twice a game!
i don't hate vick, but i have said for years he needs to take an entire preseason and take 3 and 5 step drops and throw the ball to a 3rd option! throw tons of picks if he wishes! but learn to read a def beyond the 1st option and get rid of the ball! never target the main option, learn to read and react quickly and just work on gettin rid of the ball! i think a simple task as this could help him greatly and produce better accuracy and completions! this is not to say become a pocket passer, but learn to obtain a different aspect to his game!
vick breaking down plays and running around to make a play does 1 major thing! wr's lose their route! and when this happens db's can shield and mirror wr's! if vick keeps going out of the pocket you eliminate 2 even 3 passing options on 1 side of the field, a dig, curl, comeback, fade, out, slugo, wheel etc etc are all dead plays when this happens! now you are reduced to maybe 2 passing options!
so tonight i am goinf to post how many damn plays a player leads with the helmet!
