How Can These Rankings Possibly Be Right?

Here are the rankings from the Don Best Linemakers Poll after Week 3 with the Packers taking over the No. 1 spot from the Patriots, who still stay a point better than the Saints at No. 3:

Philly lost two games in a row to the Falcons and Giants. OK! I might be prejudiced towards my Giants, but I see at least 5 teams listed below Philly that should be ahead of them. They aren't the Super Team that everyone expected this year. As I mentioned in another thread, they have to play together for a year to get things together. I would put 6-12 ahead of them. What's your thoughts?

Linesmakers can be idiots at times too. Bad list.

I dont know.....If any of the top 6 were playing any #7 thru #32 would they be an underdog or even a pick to any of them?

The Jets are not the 7th best team in the NFL. I can assure you that.

atlanta 1-2 above giants
philly 1-2 above giants when the giants just beat the eagles, and the falcons just beat philly

carolina better than st louis

seattle beat arizona

tampa bay should be above atlanta

dallas should not be at 11, they needed OT to beat the 49ers, and beat the redskins in their home opener by a point....

but i can make the case that jets beat the cowboys on a gift fumble by romo, and jets beat the jags, so no real quality wins there

i think pitt and balt are good teams but a little high in these rankings, balt beat the balls off of pitt in week 1, but then lost to titans in week 2, then stomped the rams in week 3, so only one good win there

pitt got smoked, then beat up on seattle and indy (two horrible teams) so pitt is getting a little too much credit for 2 victories against teams ranked 29 and 30

if you wanna go by strength green bay, new orleans, giants, buffalo, baltimore are the only teams in the league to beat a top 10 team

a lot of 2-1 teams in there with more impressive victories than other 2-1 teams on that list

giants two wins against 20 and 5

bring margin of victory into it

cowboys beat 20 by 3 points in OT
cowboys beat 18 by 1 point

giants beat 5 by 13
giants beat 20 by 12

again, this is a little off in my eyes

eagles lone victory came against 20, but are still ranked top 5 even though they lost to 14 and 13

Maybe it has something to do with more than margin of victory? Best list i've seen all day.

buffalo is 12th and they are 3-0 and beat #2 NE does that make them #2?

#1 its not a perfect science thats why teams move up and down as the season progresses....at the end of the year this list will be fairly accurate...

#2 this is the NFL where as we have already seen anyone can beat anyone on any given sunday...

all this list illustrates is 1 thing, New Englands 21 in a row game wining streak during the regular season is nothing short of REMARKABLE!

What's their playoff streak at?

they havent done shit in the playoffs the past few seasons doesnt change the fact that they won 21 in a row over 2 regular seasons....

they will go 12-4 get #1 or #2 seed again this year and still get bounced early if they dont get their defense up to par....brady will break every offense record this year and it will be all for not....

By the same token, winning 21 reg season games in a row doesnt change the fact you don't get a ring for best regular season record.
